Choosing your gift

What is a personalised moon phase print?

It’s a print showing the moon phase for a date you choose, with your own wording around it. You might use the day you met, a wedding date or someone’s birthday. You can see your design before you order.

Which date should I choose for an anniversary?

Choose a date the two of you would recognise: the day you met, your first date or your wedding day. It doesn’t have to be the anniversary date itself. You can include two moments in a two-moon print.

What is a birth moon print?

It shows the moon phase for the date someone was born. Use their birth date and birthplace, then add their name and a message. You can make one for a new baby or someone celebrating a birthday years later.

Can I include more than one date?

Yes. Choose a design with two, three or four moons. Each moon has its own date and place, so you can include different family members or several moments from the same relationship.

What should I write on the print?

Try names, a few words you say to each other, or a sentence about your chosen date. Something as simple as “The night we met” works. The quote ideas in the editor can give you a starting point.

Can I make a print in memory of someone?

Yes. Choose a date you associate with them and add their name or your own message. It doesn’t have to be the date they died; a birthday or a memory you shared may feel more fitting.

Understanding your moon

Is this a photograph from my chosen night?

No. We calculate the moon phase from the details you enter and render it using moon artwork developed for our prints. We don’t use a photograph taken on your chosen night.

Why does my moon look different on another website?

Check that both use the same date and time. Some show a simple phase symbol; others show more detail or rotate the moon differently. If you’re unsure, send us your date and screenshots of both so we can take a look.

Why is the moon gold in some designs?

Gold is one of the artwork styles you can choose. It changes the appearance of the print; it doesn’t mean the moon was that colour on your date.

Making it yours

Can I see my print before I pay?

Yes. The preview updates while you personalise your print. Check the names, dates and wording there, then review your design in the cart before checkout.

Which place should I enter?

Use the place connected to the date you’re remembering, such as the town where you met or where someone was born. You can choose a different place for each moon.

Can I change the colours and wording?

Yes. Edit the wording and choose from the colours, fonts and moon styles in the editor. Check the preview as you make changes, especially if you’re adding a longer message.

Can I save my design and finish it later?

Yes. Use the save option in the editor and enter your email address. We’ll email you a link so you can return to your design later.

What should I check before ordering?

Check the spelling of names, each date and place, and the wording on the print. Then check your selected size and format. If you’re ordering several prints, review each design in the cart.

Size and finish

How do I choose the right size?

Open the size guide to compare your design at different sizes in the same room. Then measure your wall space. Marking out the dimensions with paper or removable tape can help you judge the size at home. The room preview shows approximate scale.

Will the colours look exactly like my screen?

Colours can look a little different on a screen and in print. Screen brightness and the lighting in your room affect how you see them. Use the product photos to compare the finishes as well as the design preview.

Delivery and gifts

Will it arrive in time for my anniversary or birthday?

Check the delivery estimate before ordering. If your date is close, email us with the date you need it, your delivery country and the print you’re considering. We’ll help you check the timing before you place the order.

Where can I find the delivery estimate?

Choose your size and format in the editor to see the estimate for that print. You can also check the delivery dates in your cart. Different sizes and formats can take different amounts of time.

Will all my prints arrive together?

Prints from the same order can travel in separate packages. Check whether you’ve received more than one tracking link. If anything is unclear, send us your order number and tell us which print has arrived.

Help with your order

Where can I track my order?

Use the tracking link we email when your print ships. If you can’t find it, check your spam folder or open Track your order. If you’re still stuck, email us with your order number.

I’ve made a spelling mistake. What should I do?

Spotted a typo? Email hello@moonphaseprints.com with your order number and what you’d like to change. We wait 24 hours before starting your print, so there’s time to fix it. We’ll send you updated previews until you’re happy with what’s going to be printed.

My print arrived damaged. What should I send you?

Email your order number, a photo of the whole print and close-ups of the damage to hello@moonphaseprints.com. Include photos of the packaging too, so we can see what happened.

You’ve sent me the wrong design. What happens now?

Email us your order number and a clear photo of the print you received. If we’ve sent the wrong design, we’ll replace it at no extra charge or arrange a refund.

Tracking says delivered, but I can’t find it.

Check the delivery photo or note, any safe place around your home, and whether someone else accepted it. If it still hasn’t turned up, email us your order number and we’ll help investigate.

Can I return a print if I change my mind?

We make each print with your chosen details, so we don’t accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or we’ve made a mistake, contact us so we can put it right.

How do I contact you?

Email hello@moonphaseprints.com. For an existing order, include your order number and what you need help with. If there’s a problem with the print, photos help us understand it.

Still need a hand?

Send us your question. If it’s about an order, include your order number so we can help.
