What is a birthday moon phase?
It’s the phase the Moon was in on your birth date: a crescent, a full moon, or somewhere in between. It describes how much of the Moon’s sunlit side we could see from Earth.
Do I need my exact birth time?
You can start with your date and leave the time at noon. If you know your birth time, adding it refines the result. It matters most when your birthday falls close to a new moon, full moon or quarter moon.
Does my birthplace matter?
The Moon’s phase is the same worldwide at a given moment, but its angle in the sky depends on where you are. This calculator uses the time zone on your device. You can personalise the location when you create a print.
Will I have the same moon phase every birthday?
